At Car Amplifier Repair we strive to analyze your broken amplifier, evaluate the defective components and then give you an accurate repair estimate within 7 working days .
How This Works
Note: We repair all factory installed OEM amplifiers in our Maryland facility and aftermarket self installed amplifiers are repaired in our California facility.
We will be happy to bench check your amp(s) no fee for 3rd party aftermarket amplifiers and Factory Amplifiers are $125ea, and then give you an estimate. Sorry we do have to see the amp(s) in person to give a final estimate. Shipping to and from us can range from $50 PLUS depending on the carrier UPS/USPS, how much you insure the amplifier(s) for and the size/weight of the amplifier(s).
Our parts and labor for the repair can often exceed $100, so in total you may spend over $150ea to bring your amplifier(s) back to life, large high power amplifiers may be even more! For Example a 8000 watt amp with every output blown could be over $600+ just in repairs!
Do all amplifiers cost $250+ to repair? Of course not! We just wanted you to know some of the possibilities.

Please Note: Amplifiers with water damage are prone to fail again/much sooner after repairs due to ongoing corrosion. For Salt water damage we do not recommend repairs ever.

Well What Next? When you decide you are ready to ship your amplifier(s) to us, we will first need Your Full Name, the exact make, model and serial number of your amplifier(s), Please email us the information, when we receive this information from you we will email reply to you our shipping address, instructions and RA# to put on the box and then you can send your amplifier(s) in to us for repair.
Note: We currently accept credit cards, PayPal for payments. Once we receive your amplifier(s) in our lab we will require the:
After your Estimate is complete you may (A) Choose to have your amplifier(s) repaired by us (we will apply the bench fee towards your repair total balance) or (B) you may choose to have your amplifier(s) shipped back to you without being repaired. The bench check fee will not be refunded.
We will return your amplifier(s) with the same method and cost you used to ship to us, If you want the amplifier(s) insured you must pay the additional fee. Send us a copy of your shipping receipt so we can duplicate your exact shipping method and insured amount. You are responsible for the safe packaging of your amplifier(s). We will return your amplifier(s) in the original package you sent us. Please Read your chosen shipping carriers rules for proper and safe packaging of your product. We always return amplifiers with signature required.
Once we begin the repair process we typically return your amp within 2 weeks.

All repairs will require us to order your parts and start the repairs. When the repairs are complete we will make arrangement to ship your amplifier back to you.

UNPAID REPAIRS – After 90 days Amplifiers that have been Repaired and or Bench Checked and not paid for by the owner will be scrapped or sold by Car Amplifier Repair to recoup our parts and labor cost.
Bench Fee $125(factory amps) plus return Shipping must be paid before we can give you your amplifiers repair estimate. The $125 bench check fee will be applied to the total repair or if you choose we will ship your amplifier back to you in a non repaired state.
We will return your amplifier with the same method you used to ship to us, If you want the amp insured you must pay the additional fee. Send us a copy of your shipping receipt so we can duplicate your exact shipping method and insured amount. You are responsible for the safe packaging of your amplifier.
We will return your amp in the original package you sent us. Read your chosen shipping carriers rules for proper and safe packaging of your product. We return amplifiers with signature required.

NOTE 1: When you make your credit card – PayPal payment please send a note of the Make and Model of the Amplifiers we are repairing for you to avoid confusion.
Your amplifier(s) are ready to go on the technicians bench for trouble shooting and bench checking and to prepare your repair estimate:
The repair estimate fees will be applied to the repair charge if you choose to have your Amplifier(s) repaired, and the return shipping fee insures we can return your amplifier(s) to you regardless of whether you choose to have your Amplifier(s) repaired or not.
WARRANTY: Ask us about the specific warranty on your amplifier as brand, type, power or factory installed will alter the warranty period, large Korean D class skateboard amplifiers will have no warranty at all because of their initial poor design. All repaired amplifiers are run in on our test bench for 2+ hours at 30% to 40% max power output after the repair is complete to insure that no additional components will fail. We also do a test to insure the amp can and will achieve maximum power output. As with any old amplifiers once we fix the broken components there may be others ready to fail, this is why we bench test them for several hours to sort out additional problems that may occur. All amplifier are guaranteed to run when they leave our facility. But we have no way to warranty them after that because there are just to many situations beyond our control. For Example: cars have high and low voltage swings, low impedance levels which can be frequency dependent, compromised cooling situations and typically most amplifiers are run as hard and as loud as they will go with the outputs clipping! So as you know they do fail under stress. Amplifiers are operating in cars which are a brutal environment to say the least! Note: We do not repair Memphis, MATTS and US Amps.
Your Repaired Car Amplifier Broke Again After Our Repair
All repaired amplifiers are run in on our test bench after the repair is complete to insure that no additional components will fail. As with any old amplifiers once we fix the broken components there may be others ready to fail, this is why we bench test them to sort out additional problems that may occur. All amplifiers are guaranteed to run when they leave our facility. But we have no way to warranty them after that because there are just to many situations beyond our control. For Example: cars have high and low voltage swings, low impedance levels which can be frequency dependent, compromised cooling situations and typically most amplifiers are run as hard and as loud as they will go with the outputs clipping! So as you know they do fail under stress. On a busy week we can receive more than 30 amplifiers for repair and over 100 inquiries about repairs but we will respond to you as quickly as possible. Amplifiers are operating in cars which are a brutal environment to say the least.
